Bold Polynesian/Māori-inspired blackwork spanning shoulder, upper arm and chest. Geometric panels, spearhead and shark-tooth motifs and wave elements are used; traditionally signifying strength, protection, ancestry and a connection to the ocean. Heavy black fills and negative-space detailing create an armor-like, sculpted appearance that reads well from multiple angles.
