The 9th annual Montreal Tattoo convention at Gare Windsor took place the weekend of September 9th 2011, and Pascal Richard, Pierre and the crew from Tattoo Mania did the usual job of providing the tattoo fans with a great intenational line up of artists from around the world. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet up with some new ones while enjoying a zany weekend crammed with tattoos and parties. The show took place during a sunnyl early fall weekend in downtown Montreal where shopping and eating is more like strolling through a european city than a Canadian one. I got to see some high calber tattooing as well from the like of artists like Mike Rubendall, and Grime and hung out with my great friends Roonui and Lynda of Tahiti Tattoo in Montreal, who in turned introduced me to tradional Tahitian tattoo artist James Samuela. I got to judge tattoo of the day and was blown away by the caliber of work done at the show. Local artist Melissa of Sin City did a great job of tattooing at the show ans walked away with a couple of awards for beautiful realistic color pieces pictured below, enjoythe photos and videos, and see you all next when Tattoos.com goes to Calgary next month.
