Tattoo Artist SuZanne
Fauser passed away last weekend suddenly, she will be missed
by the tattoo world.
A few words from her close friend Pat Sinatra is written below.
"SuzAnne was loved by
a lot of folks and she will be sorely missed. Her spirit lives
on in many of us. She put together a tattoo family who genuinely
loves her and each other. Her generosity and thoughtfulness has
touched everyone who knew her. She has become an integral part
of my life and was the force that put me in balance. We shared
so much, even discussions of death and dying. No one ever wants
to talk about it. But we did. She wasn't afraid of death. She
was only worried about her loved ones left behind. We all carry
a piece of SuzAnne in our hearts and memories, and some of us
carry her art on our bodies. What a testament to the life of a
creative genius and a friend."
Tattoo
Planet hits the shelves in North America.
The magazine "Tattoo
Planet", after a brief absence is back on the shelves in North
America right now. Pat Sinatra of Pat's Tats is at the helm as
the new editor and the usual top-notch high quality photography
and layout remains. Renew a subscription or get one online at
http://www.tattooplanet.com/ . The current issue contains
Guy Aitchison art, coverage of The women's convention in Orlando
and photos from the Inkslingers Ball.
STATE
OF THE ART
Update on tattoo legalization and regulation zooming all over
the states.
The battle for Tattooing
regulation, zoning, administration, legalization, and stereotypical
mass ignorance sails on into the abyss known as the American Bureaucracy.
The recent court decisions
we have been following that set the precedent in the state of
Mass. has been compromised. As we well know, by now, the narrow-minded
desires of municipal political pawns for personal gain runs rampant.
The redundant conflict between body-art enthusiasts and city hall
is now a ripe fruit. Simply put, something stinks.
These paragraphs, web
addresses and emails are latest information on tattooing legalization
and regulations we have from contributors, please review and assist
in any way you can. Just spread the word to your tattooed friends.

From Bob Montagna, ( bob@tattoos.com

NJ tattoo Rule: is in its final stages of adoption, prior to it's
implementation. It faces a period of public comment very soon.
We have worked on it for two years, but in case there is something
glaringly wrong, by all means, write and discuss it. We can shape
this at this point much more easily than after it's in place.
This rule is just now available for perusal at http://fusionofstylestattoo.com/.
Anyone with constructive comments also can send them directly
to me, for carrying up the line at BOB@TATTOOS.COM until then,
More as it develops, Bob Montagna.

Quick note about Northern
Ink Xposure 2002
As you probably already know there will be no NIX tattoo convention
in the year 2001. We are taking a year off in order to focus on
building a larger international event in 2002. The tremendous
success and growth from its inception has been beyond even our
expectations. Never content to stand still, the partners at Tattoos.com
are preparing to move to a larger venue in the Toronto downtown
core in June of 2002. Without your participation N.I.X. would
not be the international event that is regarded as today. We will
keep you up-to-date.
On a final note, we are now updating yellow page
listings for Tattoos.com studios worldwide. E-mail info to office@tattoos.com
And if we don't have your tattoo studio or art site, or collector
site in our links engine go there
and add it.
