The Death show will be open at the Portside Body Graphics Gallery (30 S 2nd Street) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Friday, April 6th, 2012 at 8pm. This show will be there until the end of May.
A collection of original works of art by some of the world's top tattooists in the iconic image of a traditional coffin. A select group of artists use this shape as inspiration to create a piece of artwork, in any medium they see fit, expressing their interpretation of Death. Read below for the art shows tour dates. We will be updating this page with show details and posting new pieces here as they are submitted by new artists. The Death show will be exibiting at tattoo conventions and galleries around the world in the coming year. October at the Calgary show, then on to the Mithra Gallery in China in the prestegious 798 Gallery district in fall, then New Zealand in November, and we are currently finalizing dates, in South Africa, and Europe. Live collaborative painting exhibit with guest artists Marina Strorme, of Toronto Jamie Henderson, of New York and Chris Lowe of Washington DC with Chinese Artists Hailin Fu, from Jinan City Bill Du, from Shanghai and Dong Dong Chou from Beijing, on October 29th and 30th come by and watch the artists do life size coffin paintings.

Death show at AUCKLAND TATTOO CONVENTION
NOVEMBER 26th and 27th 2011
The Death art show was a great success at the Toronto Hilton opening on June 17th and we had a great time bringing to the Alberta Bound Northern shows. Thanks to the artists for all the original works of art. These works will now be going on tour around the world over the coming year.
New pieces from North American and Chinese artists as well as Bob Tyrrell and others will be ready for the Calgary Tattoo Arts Festival.
"Death" the art show. An art show in the theme of Death opened to celebrate the 13th N.I.X. tattoo convention.
Death, the 13th Tarot card, symbolic of the end, but also of a rebirth, a new beginning, or the natural cycle of life.
The Northern Ink Xposure Tattoo convention in June 2011 was the 13th incantation of Canada's longest running international tattoo convention. Over the last 13 years the renaissance of tattooing has seen artistic growth and new directions that has put to death the preconceived notions of what tattoo art is and has witnessed a rebirth that has moved tattooing itself and many of the artists who do tattoos into the realm of fine art.
Our aim is to showcase artwork from a select group of talent who have taken their art in the direction of fine art.
The art was unveiled at the "Northern Ink Xposure" Tattoo Convention at the downtown Toronto Hilton, Governor General's Suite on June 16th, 2011, where it remained on display throughout that weekend. The show was a great success.
